What is Two-Factor Authentication and how does it work?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your WealthRabbit account. In compliance with IRS requirements, all software providers must offer Two-Factor or Multi-Factor Authentication, and all users are required to enable it to help protect their accounts from unauthorized access.
When signing in with 2FA enabled, you’ll be asked to provide two forms of identification:
1. Your password
2. A 6-digit verification code, sent to your phone or generated by an authenticator app.

If you lose access to both your phone and authenticator app, you can still log in using one of your backup codes. Two-Factor Authentication helps prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing your account, even if they’ve obtained your password through hacking or other means.
